Genesis 6:14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 15And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 16A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
Oh and get this. We were lead to believe Noah was the builder of the Ark. But since this clay tablet was found we know the builders real name was Atram-Hasi. Or maybe even the professor from Giligan's Island built it out of a bunch of coconuts? The article explains,
You can almost imagine the theme music coming in as the door is closed," he says– to leave the audience craving the next episode, which would have continued Atram-Hasis' incredible odyssey.
Are you thinking about the same TV show I'm thinking about? So anyway, since this story is absolutely ridiculous, I thought it deserves a theme song, similar to another work of fiction, Giligan's Island.
Sung to the tune of Giligan's Island.
Atram-Hasi Isle
Just sit right back And you'll hear a tale. A tale of a fateful trip,
That started from this Babylonian port, Aboard a circular ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man, Atram-Hasi was his name,
The passengers & animals set sail that day, For 40 day tour, A 40 day tour.
The weather started getting rough, The circular ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of Atram-Hasi The Ark would be lost. The Ark would be lost.
The ship set ground not on a Mount Ararat but some fictional piece of land
